great location friendly staff helpful staff excellent room

the hotel is in a great spot. i could easily walk to both the cruise port and centraal station. i stayed in two different rooms (before and after a cruise), both rooms were excellent. i particularly enjoyed the loft room.

the first room could have used air conditioning, as it felt a bit stuffy.

fantastic decor fast service noise issue loud footsteps

The hotel's decor and styling are indeed fantastic. Breakfast service was also wonderful, being both polite and fast.

I noticed some noise issues on the second floor. I could hear footsteps from the room above at all times.

damp smell white tiles

The staff were super nice. I'll give them that.

I was excited about one of the "historic" rooms, but it just wasn't very cozy. The room looked nothing like the photos, with warm colors and wood floors, it had all white tiles instead (not in great shape, sadly). There was also a nasty damp smell. Sleeping there felt a bit like sleeping in a public restroom. Maybe it's just me being picky.

the staff were friendly and helpful I requested a quieter room and the manager found me another room. the hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished the breakfast was delicious. i especially liked the attention to detail throughout the hotel the decor had a retro feel. there were also tasty healthy breakfast choices available which i appreciated.

the windows had intentionally opaque glass so you couldn't see outside clearly. this. there was also poor airflow and no option to open the windows the restaurant service was slow.

delicious breakfast friendly staff free drink noisy room slamming door loud music

The breakfast was REALLY delicious. I enjoyed the breman breakfast and my friend found vegan options. The staff were friendly. The design had a LOVELY decoration.

My room was next to the stairwell! I heard the door slam. A local bar played loud music until 1 pm. The hotel offered earplugs I guess.
